PIGMENTATION

Skin pigmentation refers to dark patches on your skin. Cells called melanocytes generate colour using melanin, and this is what gives skin colour. Very dark-skinned people have a lot and there are all of the variations in between.

If these cells become unhealthy or damaged it can affect melanin production. This can affect your whole body skin or just small parts of your skin. This causes pigmented lesions.

Certain factors which result in skin pigmentation or pigmented lesions to manifest are injuries, burns, infections, inflammation, drugs, hormones and sunlight. Skin pigmentations or lesions manifest in various ways, such as freckles, age-spots, sun-spots, liver-spots, and melasma. This can be effectively tackled by Laser.

Skin pigmentation removal by Laser works by firing laser beams into the pigmented area. These laser pulses actually shatter the melanin in these lesions into very minute particles, which the body then eliminates using its natural processes. This diminishes or eradicates pigmented lesions for good.

Laser skin pigmentation removal is suitable for:

  • Age Spots
  • Sun Spots
  • Hyperpigmentation
